Just thought I’d pop in and say hello and happy Friday! I promise I will get back into the groove of regular posts soon. I have a ton of pics from the past few months and a bunch of super yummy recipes to share…until then, please enjoy these pictures I just recently cleared off of my phone. I was running out of space and needed to make room for our road trip next week!

Poppy had a few of her closest friends over this week for a fun filled morning of cookie baking. We made these super yummy and easy lollipop cookies. As you can see they were a hit.

These days she either has her hands shoved in her mouth twisting her fingers around it (this is a hard one for me to deal with as I seem to have become a bit of a germaphobe) or you will find her making one of these faces. To say she is totally thrilled with her new found friend would be an understatement.

Pop and I have been enjoying our week with Gamp and Gram. The past few days we have woken up to snow. When I opened the curtains this morning Poppy looked outside and said “Santa coming soon” then told me that “the reindeer  and the buffalo are getting ready to fly so they can help Santa”. This afternoon we were again talking about Christmas, how on Christmas Eve we can’t forget to leave some carrots for the reindeer because they get so hungry flying all over the world. Poppy quickly added in “and the BUFFALO!” Yes Poppy and the buffalo….Santa doesn’t go anywhere without his flying buffalo.

Happy Halloween from me and my little mermaid! xo *Note: The tears are not because she is upset about the costume (she LOVES it). The tears were because mommy wouldn’t get the camera out of her adorable little face fast enough.

Last week was a tough one. Poppy was hit hard with her first cold of the season and as you can see from the above photos she was not emotionally prepared to deal with the havoc a cold can have on a little one’s spirit.

*note: I’m sure some of you are thinking why wasn’t I hugging her while she was crying like this…why didn’t I put the camera down! Well these tears were close to constant during the first few days of the cold. Poppy was crying over every little thing. She cried when she was thirsty. She cried when she wanted an orange. She cried when her sleeve was bunched up. She cried when I zipped up her sweater, and when I unzipped it. These tears I believe were because she desperately wanted a tissue but when given the tissue she wanted nothing to do with it. I couldn’t win so I snapped a few pics then promptly went back to cuddling her.

My Nana bought Poppy this baby doll over a year ago. However Poppy really didn’t show much interest in her until this summer.Then something changed. After that you would be hard pressed to find Poppy without baby….or “pink baby” as she now calls her. I guess “pink baby” is the only logical name to give this baby, given that she is wearing pink and is in fact a baby. Way to call it as you see it Poppy Winters.

There is nothing cuter in the whole wide world than her sweaty little ringlets after waking from a good nap. Heart melting goodness. I love this girl.

*note- For those of you wondering, no I did not dye Poppys hair. It’s a filter;)

Visiting Grammy and Gamp for the week. Poppy has been sleeping like a champ….thank you country air.
