This year on Mother’s Day, Kegan put together and hosted a wonderful Mother’s Day brunch at our home. He invited my mother and grandmother as well as Danie and my step father Andrew, also known as Grandad.
The brunch was a feast of eggs benny 2 ways…for the meat eaters there was peameal bacon done on the bbq and for those who prefer a little veg he made my fave vegetarian eggs benny with pan fried mushrooms, onions and garlic served over fresh avocado and topped with a poached egg and hollandaise sauce. Yum! The sides were fresh garden salad and hashbrowns! Kegan has masterd this meal and impressed the crap out of my grandmother! She couldn’t stop gushing about what a great job he was doing.
After brunch we sat around in the backyard chatting, playing with Poppy and taking a few ridiculous Mother’s Day pics with the 4 generations. Honestly, how could we resist?
Minus the few massive meltdowns Poppy had due to her terrible cold, all in all it was a perfect day. Thank you Kegan for slaving away in the kitchen…so I didn’t have to! xoxo
