Another beautiful weekend spent at Horseshoe lake. This time Poppy really got down with her nature exploring self. On her hands and knees ( no she is not walking yet ) Poppy covered every nook and cranny of the land. We also enjoyed beautiful walks through the forest and checked out a cool hiking trail that Kegan so kindly looked up on google maps for us. Unfortunately our  hike was cut short after we saw a huge beautiful deer leap ahead of us followed by a flurry of gun shots. Needless to say we wasted no time getting out of there….next time I think he may also want to look up when hunting season begins. Let this be a little warning to any other city folk wanting to go hicking in October, not all hunters play by the rules.
